You also have to consider the "orphan brand" tax. While some Indian/Polaris dealerships still service Victorys, many are shifting their focus exclusively to current lines. If you aren't comfortable doing your own wrenching or don't have a specialized independent mechanic nearby, maintenance can become a logistical headache. Investment vs. Enjoyment
Victory motorcycles were ahead of their time in terms of performance and reliability. Unlike the air-cooled traditionalism of their primary competitors, Victory utilized overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, and a robust 106-cubic-inch Freedom V-Twin engine that earned a reputation for being nearly bulletproof. should i buy a victory motorcycle now
The primary hurdle is the sunsetting of official support. Polaris committed to providing parts for 10 years following the 2017 closure, meaning 2027 is the soft deadline for guaranteed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components. While many engine parts are durable, model-specific items like bodywork, electronic control modules, and specialized sensors are becoming increasingly difficult to source. From a riding perspective, these bikes offer superior lean angles and frame rigidity compared to many vintage cruisers. Models like the Cross Country and the Vision are still praised for their aerodynamic weather protection and long-haul comfort. Furthermore, because the brand is defunct, you can often find high-displacement, fuel-injected cruisers for significantly less money than a comparable Harley-Davidson or Indian. Did you know that audio levels can have an affect on external hardware and even plugins? Hardware (and some plugins) are designed for specific input levels - exceeding those levels can cause unwanted distortion and a loss of quality. James Wiltshire explains how K-Meter can be used to ensure proper levels.
I purchased your K-Meter beta, and I love it. I've tried every metering plug available, and I love yours the best. Great graphics, readability, ballistics, etc. All so well done. Thanks! Tom Third (tomthird.com)
This is the meter to use if you are serious about the K-System. It is accurate, easy to read, and contains tools for calibration. In addition, the interface is neat and collapses well if necessary. Dr. Heinrich Hohl
Just shouting out a big THANK YOU!!! for the K Meter plugin - I have been looking for a dedicated meter to use with logic without having to instigate 3 or more different plugins to monitor using the K -System. I have adopted the K system into my mixes for some time now and it vastly improves dynamics and clarity in digital land! I only hope the rest of the industry gets onboard! People would not be arguing ITB vs OTB Mixing if they all used your plugin! Timothy Kling (aka. Namatoke)
