Start with a square piece of cardstock or heavy paper.

Fold the square diagonally from corner to corner both ways to create an "X" crease. Propellers.7z

Once the glue cures, you can sand and carve the paper stack just like a piece of wood. The different colored layers will create a "grain" look similar to a real wooden propeller. Method 3: Origami Helicopter (Gravity Spinner) Start with a square piece of cardstock or heavy paper

Glue multiple strips of colored paper (like brown or tan) together using super glue to create a thick "block". The different colored layers will create a "grain"

If you want something that spins as it falls, try a basic cut: Cut a strip of paper (about 1x6 inches). Cut a slit halfway down the middle of the strip. Fold the two resulting flaps in opposite directions.

Add a paperclip to the bottom for weight. When dropped, it will spin like a helicopter.

Take every other corner tip and bring it to the exact center point. Do not crease these folds; keep them rounded so they catch the air.
