In a pulse-pounding finale, Conan and Heiji work together to override the security system just seconds before the deadline. They manage to deactivate all the wristbands—except for one.

Conan manages to infiltrate the client's observation room. Through brilliant deduction, he proves that the murder the client "witnessed" was actually a staged suicide, and the "assassin" he fears is a hallucination born of guilt. Genta, one of the Detective Boys, still has his wristband on while riding a roller coaster that exits the park boundaries. As the coaster reaches the "detonation zone," (who had been lurking in the shadows throughout the film) makes a dramatic entrance.
