Picking up a decade after the original film, the series finds "X" adapting to a landscape changed by social media and new dating apps. After his longtime boyfriend Andrew (Darryl Stephens) leaves him, "X" is mentored by a tech-savvy, young hustler named Chayce (Jason Caceres), who teaches him how to build a digital brand in a world he no longer recognizes.
